'Akhsar Al-Mukhtasaraat’

A classical study of Fiqh of the Madhab of Imam Ahmad

Authored by Imam Badr Al-Din Ibn Balban Al-Hanbali (1083H), abridged from his work Al-Kafi Al-Mubtadi.

This course aims to cover the fundamentals of worship, transactions, marriage and divorce, judgement, food and drink, and inheritance.

What is Ta’seel

• The Ta’seel Programme is designed to provide students with a firm grounding in the Islamic Disciplines. Students begin by forming a solid core in the Islamic Sciences, studying intermediate texts in a multi-disciplinary approach that brings together the various subject matters, before developing broader and more advanced texts.
  
  
• The idea to initiate the Ta’seel programme came from our desire to supplement a dedicated ilmy programme, solely focussing on Islamic knowledge, with our existing Sabeel Tarbiyah programme, which aims to develop students holistically.
   
• The core focus for the Ta’seel programme is on Usool (principles) of the Islamic sciences, Fiqh and tarbiyah. These focus areas will provide the necessary tools to develop a well-rounded student of knowledge, equipping them with the skills to apply knowledge and understanding in the right context.

Why this course?

It is a beginner treatise in the hanbali madhab and comprenhensive in covering all the topics in fiqh for a beginner in seeking knowledge. It is an introductory course for the new 4 year Ta’seel comprehensive knowledge program. 

Who is the Instructor?

Shaykh Fuad Abdo holds a Bachelors in Islamic Law and a Masters in Economics & Islamic Banking. He spent time in Wales as an Imam and Khateeb. Shaykh Fuad is a jurist on the panel of mashaykh at the Islamic Council (formerly known Islamic Council of Europe), an experienced researcher and is known for his acquaintance with both classical and contemporary works. Shaykh Fuad is currently the lead Imam at Al-Ansar Islamic Education centre, London. The Shaykh has taught the traditional Islamic Sciences to seekers of knowledge and has managed and produced both curricular and material provisions.
