Amazing!

Attending my first Sabeel Retreat was a complete change to my spiritual and physical being. Waking up for the night prayers, praying Fajr in congregation, and reciting the Qur'an in circles, all in open lush green fields was something I had never experienced. Socialising with likeminded brothers, sharing stories with one another, advising each on what career paths to take, and on how to improve our characters was all part of this nurturing programme. My worldview then began to shape.

There is something about the whole Sabeel Programme which is genuinely refreshing. I felt a sense of relief after attending just one retreat. The Qiyam, Qur'an circles, brotherhood and learning have change my whole way of thinking. The actual content of the retreats is unique and I was always told that Usul in our religion was crucial but I could never see why this was so critical until I attended Sabeel. Now I feel that for the Muslims in the West a grounding in Usul and attending Sabeel is mandatory.

Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you choose to pay monthly, annually or in full your fees cover the cost of your whole programme. The only time you will be required to pay anything additional is if you are attending a retreat outside of your cohort. Please see our fee policy at the check-out for terms and conditions of sale.
You will have a variety of Murrabi's who will teach you throughout the 3 years. You will also have 'visiting' Murrabi's/teachers who may specialise in certain sciences and areas and will visit you at any one of your events. For your one to one Qur'an classes, they will be online with a qualified female teacher.
Knowledge-checks such as examinations and assessments are found throughout the programme for all the different elements.
The retreats are an essential part of the programme and we encourage all students to make every effort to attend them. If for whatever reason you are unable to attend a particular retreat, you will be expected to attend that same retreat with another cohort at an additional cost. You must seek leave from the admin team who will explain the procedures for absences.
After your induction event you will be provided with dates for the first academic year inshaAllah. We usually follow University academic terms. We try to avoid exam times, school holiday periods when possible, and periods and days of significance such as Ramadhan, Eid and the first 10 days of dhul hijjah. Much is determined by the availability of our teachers and venues. After your induction event you will be provided with dates for the first academic year inshaAllah. Our main form of communication is via email. We will also have a group chat for students that will be used to communicate occasionally and for students to get to know one another. For any changes we will always endeavour to communicate with you in a timely manner and notify you of dates and any changes as soon as possible.

If paying monthly your first amount will be the first payment due upon registration and taken as a non-refundable deposit (and will count towards the monthly payment). The direct debit will re-start the month before the induction event. Please ensure to read the full terms and conditions in relation to fees on the sign-up page.
There are approximately 3 x weekend retreats per academic year, 2 x online intensive seminars which are usually held on a Saturday for half a day. On a weekly basis (for 40 weeks) you have a 30 minute Qur'an class on a day and time tailored to you. Finally, you have 32 Weekly classes per year, broken into 3 semester, delving deep into core Islamic knowledge,
Upon initial registration into the Sabeel Development Programme there is a 14-day cooling off period when you can request a refund. If after the first retreat you decide to leave the programme, you have 7 days to send your 30-day notice to request a refund to [email protected]. A one-off non-refundable administration fee is applied to all programmes of £89 and is included in the initial payment which will not be refunded. All students are required to give a 30-day notice after the cooling off period has ended.
We will start when the cohort is full and we usually follow the University academic year. Details will be provided to students once the cohort is full.
